D.O.A: Jay-Z’s new song’s origin–Produced by No I.D.

Ayo Eardrum Aficionados,

So, I’m sure by now most of you have heard Jay-Z’s new single “D.O.A (Death of Autotune)”. It’s been melting airwaves since this past weekend. Everyone’s probably thinking it’s “Ye” on the production, but it’s actually KanYe collaborator and mentor, No I.D.! Hailing from “the Chi” as well, you can hear that soulful, funky melody sample that those 2 super producers (Ye & No ID) are known for.

“Where did he get that sample from and how did he chop it?” is what you producers are asking, huh?! It’s an old 70’s Song “In the Space” by Janko Nilovic & Dave Sucky from Psyc’ Impressions album. Peep it. Yes, you heard it here first (again)….
