Ayo Family,
I just wanted to give a shout out to James “J Dilla” Yancey this week, as he was born Feb 7th, 1974 and left us for higher ground 4 years ago this Feb 10, 2010. Dilla was 32 years old. Yancey died in 2006 of the blood disease TTP. Anyhow, this is for the real hip hop heads. We lost a true soldier, but his timeless music lives on. Most of us Dj/Musicians feel the pain deep, but represent his music regularly through rotation. RIP Dilla Dawg!
