Most of you may have heard of Azealia Banks by now, since this single “212” has been bangin’ in clubs worldwide since winter. No, she is not Iggy Azalea (the Aussie/LA Gangsta Rap Fashionista). There’s been a big media battle between Azealia & Iggy, which you can read about by clicking their names in this line. Miss Banks is an eccentric Harlem bred female MC/Artist who’s been getting lots of “nods” from industry folks such as M.I.A., Major Lazer and Scissor Sisters. British long standing music mag NME crowned her the “Cool List” topper for 2011. Azealia will appear at this year’s Coachella Festival (we can’t wait) and will embark on a european tour shortly after. She’s even working with Lana Del Rey and Kanye West on her upcoming EP entitled “1991.” Get familiar w/ her prior to the release of her full length album Broke With Expensive Taste (great title) scheduled for later this year.
