SlowDive : Star Roving

Happy Friday Earthlings,

UK Shoegaze senseis Slowdive surprises us with their first official song release in over 22 years!  Newly signed to record label Dead Oceans, “Star Roving” picks up where 1995’s Pygmalion left off in regards to their classic shimmery Britpop sound.  The band’s original lineup  (Neil Halstead, Christian Savill, Rachel Goswell, Nick Chaplin and Simon Scott) reunited in 2014.  They’ve been working on a full length project ever since, and from what we hear with the new single, it won’t disappoint their cult fanbase! You can snag a digital copy of the single here.  Visit their website and label Dead Oceans for updates on this spectacular comeback.

When The Sun Hits

Sweet thing, I watch you

Burn so fast it scares me

Mind games don’t leave me

I’ve come so far, don’t lose me

It matters where you are

As the sun hits, she’ll be waiting

With her coffins under heaven

Hey hey, lover, you still burn me

You’re a sun yeah, hey hey

Sweet thing, I watch you

You burn so fast it scares me

Mind games don’t lose me

I’ve come so far, don’t lose me

It matters where you are

As the sun hits, she’ll be waiting

With her coffins under heaven

Hey hey lover you still burn me

You’re a sun yeah, hey hey

Sweet thing, I watch you, burn away

Sweet thing, I watch you, burn away

Sweet thing, I watch you, burn away
